When I woke up the morning of Maria & Steve's wedding day, my heart sank a little. It had been chilly but beautiful all week and now it was grey and cloudy and rainy. My thoughts immediately went to Maria and how she would feel about it. But one thing I've learned in my 8 years as a wedding photographer is that when a bride and groom are simply happy to celebrate their love with family and friends, nothing else matters. Not even a cloudy, rainy day ;) When I arrived at the Patrick Henry where the girls were preparing, there were giggles and smiles from the lifelong friends. They helped Maria transform into a beautiful bride and then saw her off to the church where an oh-so-patient Steve was waiting. Maria's dad was all smiles as he walked his little girl down the aisle ;) St. Andrew's was still decorated from Christmas and the red poinsettias made a stunning backdrop as Maria & Steve promised their lives to each other. They exited the church to be whisked away in a horse drawn carriage and headed back to the Patrick Henry to dance the night away! It's obvious that Steve adores Maria and her smile shines when he's around. Many, many congratulations guys!!
Many thanks to Carrie for assisting me!
