Samantha & Key | Married Virginia Transportation Museum Wedding

Many of the emails I received from Samantha were sent in the early morning hours, and as she headed to bed, I was just getting my day started ;)  As a Labor & Delivery nurse, she often works night shift, so much of her planning happened at seemingly odd times!!  But I always enjoyed waking up to her wedding updates!!  So much of their day was carefully thought out, and Samantha hand crafted many details!!  She picked the hydrangeas for the bouquets from a neighbors bush, crocheted a flower added to her bouquet from yarn that belonged to her grandmother, made her garter from the straps she removed from her dress, designed and printed her programs, and so much more!!!  I was so excited to return to the Virginia Museum of Transportation for their reception ;)  Even more so when Sam explained that her Dad worked on the railroad, so they were close by all her childhood!!  Key job as an audio engineer for a bluegrass band keeps him on the road, but his connections certainly paid off with a group of friends that provided both the ceremony and reception music ;)  It was extremely hot, and shortly after the storm that knocked out power for most of Roanoke, but the church regained power just in time, and we all braved the heat for the reception!!!  And it was fun ;)  Enjoy, and don't forget the slide show at the end - I'm kinda proud of this one!!!Love seeing my photos is use - and this was so cute!!The flower from her grandmother's yarn tucked into her bouquetShe also wore her Mother's engagement ring ;)2 sisters - I love how much they look alike!!These kids cracked me up!!  They were so good!!The light here in the evenings is just amazing!!!!Party time!Sam doing her signature dance - the running man!!!And what Roanoke wedding is complete without Texas Tavern photos!!!  So much fun ;)
