Due to their recent marriage, Marina’s family now includes Ray, so she contacted me for a session of their newly expanded family! I was so thrilled to have a beautiful fall day, with the most vibrant leaves!! Who said this fall wasn’t going to be very colorful?!! I loved the color, the location, and this family! We had to reschedule our first session time due to rainy, cold weather, and I’m so happy we did!! This day was so beautiful, and this family was just pure fun to work with! Courtney’s one request was to “not be cookie-cutter”, and I was happy to deliver! This session is totally them, full of fun, laid back, and completely in love with their little girl!!

My sisters were able to visit us recently and since my niece just turned 1 year old, we decided it was time for some portraits! Miss Sydney certainly knew how to work it for the camera and had us in stitches!! I was laughing so hard I almost couldn’t hold my camera!! I love how clean and simple these are – modern backdrops with pops of color. All the focus can be on this gorgeous little girl! Not that I’m biased or anything!!! Enjoy!

Aimee & Mark are having a baby! It’s been a really tough pregnancy for Aimee, but I know that once she holds that sweet baby Rose in her arms, it will all be in the past. I can’t wait to meet her!

It was raining and gloomy and Aimee was doing good to get out of the house on the day of our session (oh how I remember that all-day sickness!). So we made use of some empty office space next to me and I really, really love them! Aimee you are beautiful!!!

Full of life, energy, and excitement! That’s the best way I know to describe this family and these fun little boys! Because Dad works at Smith Mountain Lake State Park, and they spend so much of their time there, it was the perfect setting for our session. But seeing as how there were no tourists, or visitors, we were able to see the park in a different way! I must say that I loved the combination of the leaves and the water and the beautiful evening light. Jamie runs Macaroni Kid, a parent resource website and newsletter, so make sure you hop over there for fun ideas of things to do in our area! Enjoy the photos!

Smile Ryan!I love their eyes!I always take a photo of Mom & Dad. Most parents, like Jamie & Nate, haven’t had their photo taken since their wedding! Busy? Who me?

I am still alive, despite the silence on the blog! This season is my busiest time of the year, but I am so thrilled with all the clients I have had the opportunity to work with. Lots of photos are making their way around in the form of Christmas cards, Christmas presents, and the like. I have 2 weddings and a fun fashion photo shoot I’m getting ready to blog.
