Katie & Justin | Married – Roanoke VA Wedding Photographer

In the middle of the crazy, busy portrait season that is fall, I managed to photograph two beautiful weddings that I have neglected to share here on the blog!

First up are Katie & Justin!  You probably remember them from their engagement session just a few posts back.  Their wedding day dawned bright, clear, and very, very cold – perfect for a fall wedding!  With beautiful sunflower accents, plenty of love, and a few nerves, Katie and Justin said “I do”!

Beautiful dress that looked amazing on Katie!

The guys trying to fold their handkerchiefs and adjust vests!

I love that they came with instructions!

Lacing up a wedding dress is not an easy task!  Luckily Katie had lots of help!

This is Grandpa… Grandpa lost his teeth…Grandpa still came to the wedding, but without teeth!  So funny!

Katie was so nervous.  This really captures her emotions just before she walked down the aisle!!!

Did I mention it was COLD!  This bridal party toughed it out for some great photos!

Katie actually thought it felt good, so we stayed out for a few more photos…  So glad we did!

First dance!

Oh yes they did!!!

Doing the hula-hoop in her wedding dress!  That’s my kind of girl!!!

So sweet!

Thanks so much Katie & Justin for allowing me to be a part of your day!  I wish you many blessings in your life together!

Ron & Susan & Seth & Abbey & Chase !

What a fun loving family!!! From riding bikes to playing with their dog to roasting marshmallows at the fire pit, these guys know how to have a good time! I really enjoyed spending a beautiful evening with them!

The kids are gorgeous!

I loved the vibrant colors of the flowers on Roanoke College Campus!

:)

Look at those happy faces!

FAVORITE!!! This would make an awesome canvas, don’t you think!!

Ron and Susan have a photo just like this when they only had 2! They requested that we recreate it plus Chase!

Their neighborhood is just adorable. I want to buy a house on their street!

Bikes are always present around this home. It brought back memories from my childhood where I lived on my bike during the summer!!

Beautiful evening light!

Their adorable “Hershey”!

Don’t you want this to be your life?! I’m sure this happens every night, right?!!! ;)

Next up – S’mores!

The Grandpa’s joined us for these!

Thank you Ron and Susan, for allowing me to be part of your family for an evening! You are truly blessed!

Beautiful Baby Reagan!

Last weekend, I had the chance to spend a wonderful morning with Mike, Linnsey and Baby Reagan. I loved this little family so much! Baby Reagan is adorable and full of personality! 5 minutes after I walked in their house, she reached out for me to hold her. I just melted!

See? Isn’t she adorable?! She was just up from a nap and Mama was trying to dress a very wiggly baby!

I know they spend a lot of time here!

Reagan loves Linnsey’s hair!

When I was there, Reagan was so close to figuring out how to crawl! It was a good thing she hadn’t because I was able to get these shots, which would have never been possible with a crawling baby! However, on her Facebook page, Linnsey just posted that Reagan had started crawling! Go Reagan!

Smooches from Daddy!

Love her eyes!

A quick snack before we headed to the park!

I loved the painting on the wall in Reagan’s room!

As a family, they love to spend time outdoors and this park is a favorite place to walk.

Watching the geese! Although, I do think that at some point, the railing was of more interest!

I just want to eat her toes in this one!

My kind of family portraits – laid back fun!

I’m just that funny! :)

Mike and Linnsey were dedicating Reagan the following morning at church. Linnsey’s grandmother made this amazing dress for Reagan! All the props came from Mike and Linnsey’s house, and the park had the perfect place for these pictures!

This makes me laugh!

:)

Oh so cute!!!!

At the end of the session, Reagan was wearing out. She popped her thumb right in her mouth and surprised Linnsey! It may not be her normal habit, but it sure was cute! She even fell asleep in the car on the way home!

Mike and Linnsey, thanks so much for sharing your beautiful family with me! I loved every minute!

The Aldridge Family

When your evening starts out with bubbles, you know you’re going to have a good time!

Jackson was a pro at blowing really big ones! Don’t you just love his freckles!

Abigail had the hardest time! I think we determined it was her new missing tooth!

:)

I’ve been waiting to photograph these kids for almost 2 years now!!! I just love their dark eyelashes!

When Kathy and I chatted about where to do their pictures, one thing she mentioned was how much they enjoyed taking walks in their neighborhood. So, we took a walk!

When we crossed the street we found the most perfect light! I think this may be my favorite!

They went swimming earlier in the day. I think Abigail was worn out, but it made for a sweet moment with Mom!

Now you know why these kids are so gorgeous! Mom & Dad lookin’ pretty good!

A little storytime.

I do love this book :)

Jackson play guitar!

A quick wardrobe change and we headed to the park.

This just makes me smile!

And this makes me giggle!

Apparently there was a  spontaneous dance party!

I had a great time with you guys! Thanks Kathy and John for letting me spend the evening with your beautiful family! I hope the ice cream was amazing:)
