I’m going to be an Aunt!

I have been a mother 6 times over, but in about a month, Jeryl and I will become Aunt and Uncle!  I am very excited, can you tell!  I was very blessed to help Curtis and Cory freeze this moment in time by doing a maternity session for them last week.  The day was beautiful with the most amazing sky I have seen in a long time.  I also had the chance to practice the lighting techniques I learned at a seminar 2 weeks ago, but that will be another post!  Cory is the sweetest woman inside and out!  Pregnancy definitely agrees with her! (Curt, you’re pretty cool too!)

Thank you guys so much for letting me capture these images!  I am very thankful you guys are a part of my family and I cannot wait to meet your precious daughter.  You both will make awesome parents!  Enjoy your slideshow

John Rotz - Lori,
Your photographs and your photography are some of the best I have ever seen. Job well done and hope you will share many more. Being a “first time” aunt will be quite exciting….equalled only to being a “first time” “grand-pa”. Great work…..John-”Grand Pa Rotz”

Somebody had a birthday!

Can you guess how old she is?!!!

Elizabeth wanted a Beauty & the Beast cake.  I think I did pretty good considering I put it together in about 1 hour!  Thank goodness Grandma & Grandad found the little figures!

We gave her a new game for her gameboy.  She loves it!

As is tradition in our house, when each kid turns 6, Grandma & Grandad only give money as a present and then take them out for a shopping day!  They really love it and it gives them a time to have some one-on-one with their grandparents.  When they came home from Elizabeth’s trip, she only had one bag.  I thought this was unusual as they normally come home with bags full of new stuff!  In true Elizabeth form, she found the one thing she wanted and didn’t want anything else.  It took all her money, but she didn’t care!  After all every girl needs a Barbie Guitar, right!

Happy Birthday big girl!  I love you!

Brandon & Christy are married!

August 18th was a beautiful day to get married and that’s just what Brandon & Christy did!  Their wedding was a lot of fun, they were very much in love, and their little girl was just adorable!

The handsome groom

The beautiful bride!

The girls and the guys

The finishing touches!

Showing a little sass!!!

Brandon listened intently to the marriage advice his mother gave him.  You can see the respect for her in his eyes!

Brandon was very affectionate toward Christy the entire day!  He was always kissing her hand or stroking her cheek.  You can tell her loves her very much!

He even gently smeared a blob of icing on her nose!

Their 4 year old daughter, Sophie, was so cute!  I think she looks just like Christy!  I asked her to sit still for just a minute and she replied “I don’t do that!”!!!

You guys are going to have your hands full!  Just look at this gorgous girl!

Thank you guys for letting me be a part of your beautiful day!  Many blessings, and enjoy your slideshow!

Summer - i grew up with Christy and WOW these pictures are SO awesome! they look GREAT

Busy Summer!

Where has summer gone!  It’s hard to believe that August is almost over!  I have been incredibly busy, not only with photography but also with family events.  With 2 birthdays and beach trip,  I thought I would share a few moment from our summer vacation.

First was B’s 10th birthday party!  I can’t believe I have a 10 year old!  He chose to have a pool party with a Tropial theme!

Cupcakes in Ice Cream Cones!

A beautiful sunset at the pool!

Two days after the party, we left for the beach.  The beach is a lot of fun but also a lot of work when you take 6 kids with you!  We also picked one of the hottest weeks of the year to be there.  The heat index was about 120 most of the week!  We took the kids to the mall and to see 2 movies just to get them out of the sun for the afternoon!  Most of our beach time was in the evening when the sun was down.  This made for some interesting shots!

The pool water was a little like bath water!  The kids didn’t mind!

Our favorite beach pasttime!!!!  Yummy!

I did get up early one morning to see the sunrise.  I was a little dissappointed at first because I didn’t get anything really amazing, but after we were home and I looked again, I thought they were really cool!

We had only been back 1 day before we celebrated Rachel’s birthday.  For her 4th we decided to take her to Natural Bridge Zoo.  She had lot of fun feeding the animals!

Not this one, of course!

This little guy just stood at the fence looking so pitiful.  I think Rachel fed him her entire bag!

I think he was trying to stay cool, maybe!?!

The flamingos were a big hit because they were pink!

Because all ballerinas must wear pink and have pink cakes!

Now I have one more summer birthday, the start of school and several weddings to work on! Check back for more!  Happy summer!
