Yes, I know it’s the end of January, and I’m just now posting about the new year.  Yes, I know I haven’t posted anything in a long time.  Yes, I know you have been waiting impatiently ;)   Well, your wait is over!

But before we move into the new year, I want to show you guys a few of my favorites from this past year.  It was amazing!  I have the best clients, friends, and family!  Thanks for all the support!

Long time..no blog!

But for now, a post full of images from my recent trip to Colorado! This one’s for you Amy!

I found a neat app for my IPhone called ShakeIt! It imitates an old Polaroid camera. I love it! Here’s a few of the pictures I took using it.

I will be back to regular blogging soon, with a few announcements! Stay tuned!

Summer!

I’m ready!  Kids are out of school, the weather is wonderful, and there are no schedules to keep!!!  We have very few plans for the summer and want to keep it that way.  I want this summer to be one of lazy days, lots of books, playing in the sprinkler, late nights catching fireflies, and general relaxation!  How about you?  Do you have any plans?  What your favorite childhood memory of summer?

Here’s a shot of one of the first signs of summer in our house!  Strawberries!

On the photo front, be on the lookout for an email announcing summer photo specials as well as the launch of my new website!  Enjoy your summer!

So True!

IF YOU GIVE A MOM A MUFFIN
Author unknown

If you give a mom a muffin,
She’ll want a cup of coffee to go with it.
She’ll pour herself some.
Her three-year-old will spill the coffee.
She’ll wipe it up.
Wiping the floor, she’ll find dirty socks.
She’ll remember she has to do laundry.
When she puts the laundry in the washer,
She’ll trip over boots and bump into the freezer.
Bumping into the freezer will remind her she has to plan for supper.
She will get out a pound of hamburger.
She’ll look for her cookbook (“101 Things To Do With a Pound of Hamburger”).
The cookbook is sitting under a pile of mail.
She will see the phone bill, which is due tomorrow.
She will look for her checkbook.
The checkbook is in her purse that is being dumped out by her two-year-old.
She’ll smell something funny.
She’ll change the two year old’s diaper.
While she is changing the diaper, the phone will ring.
Her five-year-old will answer and hang up.
She’ll remember she wants to phone a friend for coffee.
Thinking of coffee will remind her that she was going to have a cup.
And chances are…
If she ever gets to have a cup of coffee,
Her kids will have eaten the muffin that would have gone with it.

I loved this!

And, if your Monday has been anything like mine, you could use a little cheering up! So here’s a rainbow!

Moving at the speed of light

That’s what life seems to be doing these days! Way too fast! I thought I would catch you up on our spring so far. We celebrated Passover and loved it. It’s a tradition for our family even though we are not Jewish! We love teaching our kids where some of our religious traditions come from.

Easter was, for once, a gorgeous day! I don’t know that I remember a beautiful, spring-like Easter Sunday for a long time! I loved the outfits I found for the kids this year. They make the pictures so colorful!

My beautiful girls all dressed up and ready to go!

Grandad did a good job with our family photo! Sometime I’ll show all the outtakes!

Lastly, we hit up the Kite Festival in Salem for a fun Saturday!

I hope your spring is off to a wonderful start! I’m a little behind on posting pictures but I’ll try to get caught up soon!

Blessings, Lori
