Michael & Hannah | Engaged – Roanoke VA Engagement Photographer

Just after Christmas, I was able to meet Michael & Hannah, who were home from Seattle for the holidays! It was a bit chilly, and the break made VT campus a virtual ghost town!! But it was fun to wander around and not have to dodge cars and people everywhere!! I can’t wait for their wedding later this year! I love how our session went, I love how the photos turned out, I love how comfortable these two are with each other. I love what I do!! Thanks guys for wrapping up my year in a great way!

Samantha & Key | Engaged – Roanoke VA Wedding Photographer

From the first moment Samantha contacted me, I knew we would be a good fit! She is the sweetest thing!! When I sent her a few questions to answer about their session, she responded with very long emails telling me all about she and Key and their families. I loved reading them! Key is the perfect balance to her bubbly personality. He is calm, and laid back, and totally in love with Samantha. Key travels quite a bit, but they were still willing to make the trip to Roanoke for their photos, and we were blessed with some beautiful weather! Enjoy!

Mirrandia & James | Engaged – Roanoke VA Engagement Photographer

James just returned in August from his year-long deployment in Kuwait, and Mirrandia could not be more happy to have him home! Long distance relationships are just plain hard, but being military makes it a whole different ballgame. Now that he is home, wedding plans are starting and life together is falling back into place! These guys are so cute together and were so easy to photograph. Fall is their favorite time of year, and Mirrandia even painted her own pumpkin just for our session!! Love it! We wandered around Downtown Roanoke for a bit before heading out to Jeter Farms for the perfect end to a beautiful fall session! Guys, I had so much fun!! Thanks for being so perfect!

Holly & Adam | Engaged – Roanoke, Va Wedding Photographer

cHolly & Adam could not be more perfect for each other! He makes her laugh, she grounds him. Together, they are ready to take on this big world, and all it has to offer! Our session took us from the beautiful campus of Hollins University, where to fall colors were just starting to emerge, to Holly’s parents house, to the tennis court that was the sight of their first kiss. I cannot wait for their wedding in July of next year!! I had so much fun and I’m so excited to be a part of their day!! Thanks guys!

Maggie & Mario | Engaged – Roanoke Va Wedding Photography

Elizabeth & Jason | Engaged – Roanoke VA Wedding Photographer

While they are getting married in 2 short weeks, Elizabeth and Jason have waited and prayed for this time for a long time! We started our session at Jason’s old elementary school and the location of many chats with God about his future wife. I believe the story goes that Jason would come here to walk and pray, unknowingly facing the mountain where Elizabeth lived. But God’s timing is perfect, and now they are ready to spend their forever together. I can’t wait to photograph their wedding! We had lots of fun, and much laughter during our session! Aimee & Solomon | Engaged – Lewisburg WVA Wedding Photographer

On my drive to meet Aimee & Solomon, I drove through some of the worst rain I’ve seen in a long time! I worried the entire time that our session would be rained out! But when I arrived, the sun was soft in the sky, and apart from my slippery flip-flops, we had the perfect evening. I am so excited to work with Aimee & Solomon next year at their wedding. Aimee and I had a great chat about ideas for her wedding, and I can’t wait to see what she pulls together!!

Solomon grew up on this land. It all belonged to his grandparents and is still in the family! They pulled the red truck up onto the hill just for our session. A feat considering it doesn’t run, has no power steering, and the hill was slippery from the rain. I think it was totally worth it! And Aimee’s scouting session paid off with the discovery of the wagon in the meadow! Then what would a country session be without a little fishing! Enjoy!

It’s amazing to me how the connection between two people can be so clearly seen and therefore captured on camera. How easy it is to look at a couple and know that they were made for each other. How blessed I am to be able to photograph such special people! I really and truly love what I do!!! Raechel and Isaac made my job so simple, it wasn’t even like working. I cannot wait to see them again in just about a month for their wedding!!! Enjoy the photo!

When a session starts like this , you know it’s going to be a good one!Katie and Justin’s wedding is this Saturday!!! So excited to work with them! We traipsed around Jeter Farm while the sun was bright and warm, and then headed Downtown for a change of scenery. I love how they interact, how gentle they are, how the fit together. So much fun to capture!He knows how to make her laugh!Fun with pumpkins…Fun with the corn maze….one of my alltime favorites!!!!Their adorable new puppy!!!This one makes me smile!Justin proposed at the star, so this is a bit of a different take on that location! Crazy how much traffic there is on Walnut St. bridge in the evening!!! Thanks so much Katie & Justin! I’ll see you this weekend!

Kara & Mike | Engaged – Roanoke Va wedding photographer

Kara & Mike came to me as a referral from another local photographer and I couldn’t be more happy that they chose me to photograph their wedding! Kara’s sweet spirit and easy smile are perfectly matched with Mike’s laid-back personality and fun-loving nature. A beautiful fall day, a happy couple so obviously in love, and a few surprises made for a really special session!The yellow leaves were too pretty not to use as a frame in this photo!Beautiful Kara!I so love this time of year!After a quick change of clothes and a walk across campus, we headed for Lane Stadium. Kara spent many a fall night here as part of the marching band. What better place to take photos than somewhere you remember so well! After dodging the football team, we spent most of the rest of our daylight time playing around in the stands!By the time we finished at the stadium, it was getting dark, but we wanted a few photos with the feel of downtown. I really like how these turned out!My favorite!Thanks so much Kara & Mike! I had great fun spending the evening with you! Can’t wait for your wedding!
