So True!

IF YOU GIVE A MOM A MUFFIN
Author unknown

If you give a mom a muffin,
She’ll want a cup of coffee to go with it.
She’ll pour herself some.
Her three-year-old will spill the coffee.
She’ll wipe it up.
Wiping the floor, she’ll find dirty socks.
She’ll remember she has to do laundry.
When she puts the laundry in the washer,
She’ll trip over boots and bump into the freezer.
Bumping into the freezer will remind her she has to plan for supper.
She will get out a pound of hamburger.
She’ll look for her cookbook (“101 Things To Do With a Pound of Hamburger”).
The cookbook is sitting under a pile of mail.
She will see the phone bill, which is due tomorrow.
She will look for her checkbook.
The checkbook is in her purse that is being dumped out by her two-year-old.
She’ll smell something funny.
She’ll change the two year old’s diaper.
While she is changing the diaper, the phone will ring.
Her five-year-old will answer and hang up.
She’ll remember she wants to phone a friend for coffee.
Thinking of coffee will remind her that she was going to have a cup.
And chances are…
If she ever gets to have a cup of coffee,
Her kids will have eaten the muffin that would have gone with it.

I loved this!

And, if your Monday has been anything like mine, you could use a little cheering up! So here’s a rainbow!

Adrienne & Scott | Married!

While the weather the past few days has been cold and rainy, the day Adrienne and Scott were married was more perfect than I could have imagined! The sky was the same blue as the bridesmaid dresses, the tree blossoms a soft pink and the daisies splashed their bright yellow color everywhere. Adrienne left no detail undone and all her hard work meant the day flowed flawlessly! I met the girls at their hotel room while they prepared before heading over to the War Memorial Chapel on the VT Campus.

Like I said, Adrienne attended to every detail. She did an amazing job!

A perfect moment!

LOVE THIS!!!

Say “I do”……

……and KISS!

The new Mr. & Mrs.!!

I love those first few moments after it’s official! So much excitement!

Scott and Adrienne’s wedding party were great! And up for anything! This was actually Scott’s idea and I love it! You’ll see more of them in the slideshow!

A few portraits with the beautiful couple!

If you went to Tech and get married on campus, it’s a given that you will have your photo taken in front of Burress Hall! Scott chose to mix it up a little by dipping Adrienne!

A little Hokie orange in the background!

Adrienne is one of 6 children. 3 girls, 3 boys. All the girls have been married within the past year. All of them have worn their mother’s veil. I think it’s beautiful!

First dance…..so sweet!

RSP Entertainment kept the party going! Everyone had a great time!

Scott & Adrienne, thank you for allowing me to spend a day with your family and friends! You are truly blessed to be surrounded by amazing people! I know your new life together is off to a wonderful start and I pray many blessings for you!

Love, Lori

Moving at the speed of light

That’s what life seems to be doing these days! Way too fast! I thought I would catch you up on our spring so far. We celebrated Passover and loved it. It’s a tradition for our family even though we are not Jewish! We love teaching our kids where some of our religious traditions come from.

Easter was, for once, a gorgeous day! I don’t know that I remember a beautiful, spring-like Easter Sunday for a long time! I loved the outfits I found for the kids this year. They make the pictures so colorful!

My beautiful girls all dressed up and ready to go!

Grandad did a good job with our family photo! Sometime I’ll show all the outtakes!

Lastly, we hit up the Kite Festival in Salem for a fun Saturday!

I hope your spring is off to a wonderful start! I’m a little behind on posting pictures but I’ll try to get caught up soon!

Blessings, Lori
