It’s always so amazing to me how much babies change during their first year! I know Missy and Bud wonder where the time has gone…. Erin just turned 1! I had the chance to spend the afternoon with them as they celebrated Erin’s birthday. It was so much fun seeing Erin’s reaction to all the family members, the cake, the balloons, and the presents! Some of it overwhelming, some if it very interesting! Here are some of my favorite pictures!
Aren’t they a cute family!
Erin loves to look out the window!
Fun pictures with the grandparents! Guess who she wants!
She loves to read and the book “The Wheels on the Bus” is a favorite!
I adore baby feet!
The cake tasted as good as it looked!
Erin thought so too!
What girl doesn’t like a princess card?!……
……and a baby doll?! Look how happy she is with her new baby!
Like I said, she likes to look out the window! I love her chubby legs!
My favorite!!!
Makin’ a break for it! As Daddy would say “Where ya goin’ sister!”!!!
Thanks so much Missy and Bud for having me over for the party! I enjoyed your family and had a so much fun capturing Erin’s first party! Watch your slideshow below and I’ll see you soon!
With 3 grown children and 8 grand-kids scattered all over, gathering together to celebrate Christmas is truly a pleasure for the Meacham’s! Weather almost prevented one family from traveling, but was amazing on the day of our session! This family is so much fun and really enjoyed spending time together. They made my job super easy! Hollins College was the perfect backdrop for our outing!
The kids loved this one! (I think the grown-ups did also!
They all have beautiful families!
Handsome family
Mom and Dad lookin’ pretty good!
I really love to pictures of the adults at my sessions. Kids are always up for pictures, but the adults are a little harder. But, it’s well worth it to have good photos of the Mom’s and Dad’s! I loved these!
Fun chaos!
These kids love spending time with their Grandparents! I really enjoyed their interaction!
Thanks everyone for being so much fun! Watch your slideshow below and I’ll see you soon!
Somewhere between the flurry of Christmas orders and Christmas Cards, and the kids heading back to school, time did this crazy thing called “flying”! I seriously could not wrap my brain around the fact that another year had passed. Another season had passed. Another moment had passed. So, forgive me for the blog neglect! I have had so many things I wanted to blog, and yet not enough time to blog them! However, now, life is back to “normal” (whatever that is!) and I am ready to start a new year!
I must say, this past year was truly amazing! I am blessed beyond measure to be able to do what I love. The people placed in my path are amazing and I enjoy every moment with them! Here is a slideshow of some of my favorites from this past year!
I also wanted to share something exciting that happened a few months ago! Many of you have received my our Christmas Cards in the past few years. I love doing these as it forces me to at least take my kids out for a “formal” session once a year! Last year, as the season approached, I decided to broaden my Christmas list and include many clients. I received wonderful feedback and ended up doing many cards for clients as well.
Around August, I received an email from Ronnie Garrett, a freelance writer for Professional Photographer Magazine. She liked my card as well and interviewed me for an article on how photographer use their Christmas Cards as marketing tools. The article published in the September issue and I couldn’t have been more excited! It also featured the work of Garrett & Joy Nudd, bobbi+mike, and David Higgenbotham.
I feel so honored to be listed alongside these amazing photographers whose work I admire!
Yay! Although, not realizing this was a subscription only magazine, I searched the bookstore for weeks! Finally, my Mom, came across an issue (we won’t say how!) and sent it to me. I must say, it’s pretty amazing to see your work in print and know that many others are reading it as well!
So now the bar was set high! All other cards will compare and when my “big” plans for this years card ended in 25 degree weather and even colder wind chills, I was a little bummed! In the end, I am very happy with our card and love it’s simplicity. Here’s to a very belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! I’m looking forward to 2009!
